(24,411 posts)Seriously, this is some messed up, disturbing stuff.
The fact that Romney belongs to a church that has declared the United States an enemy is relevant indeed.
Remember how the Republicans spent weeks trying to discredit Obama, simply because Reverend Wright made some incendiary statements? They asserted that because Obama had attended that church, that he agreed with everything Wright said. Obama hadn't even attended that church recently!
Now, we discover that Romney's religion--one in which he was an elder and a full-blown PASTOR.
Mormon's also believe that Adam and Even lived in the Garden of Eden---and that the Garden of Eden was in Spring Hill, Missouri.

Uhhhhh....okaayyy---
"Joseph Smith said in 1832 that the land where Adam and Eve lived after being cast out of the Garden was called Adam-ondi-Ahman (roughly translated to mean "Adam with God" or "Adam in the valley of God"
. In 1838 the location of Adam-Ondi-Ahman was revealed as a place then called Spring Hill (or Wight's Ferry) in Missouri. After the Mormons were kicked out of Missouri it was renamed Cravensville.
Now, most of the site that Joseph said was Adam-ondi-Ahman is owned by the Church and is used as farmland and a visitor site. It is about 3000 acres and is located on the bluffs above the Grand River in Daviess County, Missouri. You can learn more about the site at the "Related Links" below."
