In reply to the discussion: 403 errors [View all]The thing with these errors is that they should not be persistent, and when they do crop up they typically go away again fairly quickly (although ideally they would never appear at all).
We had a surge of errors starting last week, likely due to some back end stuff we are working on, and I'd like to get a feel for how many people are being affected by them right now vs. how many people have experienced them recently but are no longer experiencing them. From the early poll results so far it seems that most people either have not been affected, or have been affected but the problem appears to have cleared up. I'll keep the poll running for the rest of the day and see how it looks later on.
Of course this doesn't make it any less of a pain in the ass for people who are currently stuck with the 403s, and I apologize we haven't been able to come up with a quick solution. The good news is that it seems for most people who do run into this problem, it goes away on its own fairly quickly.
