Fact is, most mass killing events in this country lack an overt political agenda.

There are a few exceptions: Charleston Church, EL Paso Walmart, Tree of Life, etc.

But on the whole, many of them are just head scratchers by disturbed individuals: Las Vegas music festival, Sandy Hook, Parkland, etc.

And sometimes there’s no actual intent at all. For example, a few months back a car ran into people watching a Pride parade in Wilton Manors, Florida, which is a town with a heavy gay population.

The initial thought was this might have been a hate crime, but it turned out it was just someone who legitimately lost control of his car at the worst possible time.
