(multi-millions) with NBC which he was fulfilling on 'The 11th Hour" and I'm guessing (and that's all it is - a guess) that when contract renewal time came, they did not offer him anywhere near the bucks he was receiving on that Nightly News anchorman contract he was still working under.

I REALLY like him and will miss him A LOT.
