Millions of average voters, the ones who determine most elections due to their sheer numbers, simply believe what they're told. When all they hear is that Democrats are socialists & socialism is evil, & Democrats want open borders that let "illegals" stream in, & Democrats want to brainwash your children with Critical Race Theory & CRT is racist because it teaches that white people are bad etc etc etc...

When that's all they hear, that's what they vote on. Where is the Democratic counter-messaging on those points & all the other lies the Right constantly spreads?

As a party we seem to take the position that if we ignore the lies they will go away, but in reality if we ignore the lies they will only spread further & grow stronger & turn more voters against Democrats.
