13. The media, as usual, is not doing its job on the virus.

Articles will say that Biden’s poll numbers are down because he hasn’t contained the virus—and never mention that it is Republicans actively working to spread the virus. Articles will mention the number of cases and deaths but only occasionally mention that it is Republicans who are getting sick and dying. Just saying red states are hit harder doesn’t clarify enough for people who are too sharp to start with those who live in red states will assume that it is the minorities who are getting sick and dying, and they’re okay with that (and some of them are minorities, of course). One of Trump’s most pernicious actions early in the pandemic was withholding aid from Democratic states because the early data showed that it was minorities who were suffering most from Covid.

The media regularly prints negative headlines about Biden and Democrats. I’d like to see headlines that say that governors like DeSantis and Abbott are deliberately working to spread the virus. It’s the truth because of their anti-masking policies and rhetoric about freedom to not be vaccinated.
