Apparently the vaccines were developed far too quickly, so can't be trusted.
Didn't want to hear that the whole vaccination creation process is well understood, been practiced for decades with other diseases, and governments around the world have thrown massive resources at getting them developed on shortened time frames.
Of course, his girlfriend he lives with hasn't been vaccinated, because 'other medical conditions', so all that needs to happen is for him to pick up the virus at work, bring it home, he gets mildly sick while watching the girlfriend go under fast.
Gave up trying to get him to see the potential problem there.
Fingers crossed it doesn't happen.
I'm hopeful me and the wife didn't pick up anything over the last 2 days, in the proximity of unmasked relatives and associated strangers who may or may not have been vaccinated.
Eat, drink, talk loudly, be merry! Who cares?
Yes, and off into a corner to have a smelly smoke with your teenage buddies.

Now, full of food and alcohol, and maybe a bit of THC in your system, in the car and drive home.
Same as last few Christmases. Some people run on mindless routine. Hope it doesn't backfire on them this time.
I don't wish any harm on others, but I will be short on sympathy if bad news follows those 2 days.
Hopefully, I won't need to feel sorry for myself or the wife, both double vaccinated and getting the booster in a couple of days.
Time will tell.
Off to do some shopping now and look for available test kits.
