81. Are you guys able to get tests promptly?

I'm vaccinated, but came down with a cough, sore throat & temperature (100.8) on Saturday. There's such a surge happening, that I was unable to schedule a test in Kansas City until Wednesday. Some of the places I checked didn't have testing appointments available for 9 days, which pretty much defeats the purpose of testing.

I was going to opt for the PCR test that gets mailed to a lab and takes a few days to get resuts, because it's supposed to be more accurate. But, that may be true for the previous strains and not Omicron. I figured that the wait doesn't matter so much, since I'll quarantine and drink fluids either way.

Best of luck to you and everyone else that is experiencing this. With so many people getting together for the holidays and Omicron arriving, the surge is probably just beginning.
