Seemed a bit insensitive to reply to your post with "we'll be fine" in quotes as if to say "yah, not necessarily".

The statistics agree with you and it's certainly important to keep an optimistic and positive attitude when sick--with ANYTHING--versus being overly stressed out.

If you got the regular flu, and you posted about it and said you know you'll be fine, and someone responded with "we'll be fine" in quotes and went on to list dire symptoms their acquaintances experienced, wouldn't that be seen as a bit odd?

FWIW, I've known several people know who have gotten both Delta and Omicron. Of those vaxxed, they were all fine. A friend was completely asymptomatic with Delta as was her family. Everyone I've known whose gotten sick lately--so assume Omicron--has had nothing worse than a bad cold. Most felt much better after 72 hours.
