Jan 2022

My daughter lives only an hour away, but it might as well be 600 miles when she's sick. She teaches at the university and has had some scares, but so far has not had COVID. She is also double vaxxed and boosted, but in close proximity with so many people who are not.

I have found something we can do that really makes her day: Order food to be sent to her home. I send plenty of "sick" food like yogurt, soup, ice cream, juice and some fun things she wouldn't buy for herself. I write in the instructions to leave in the carport and then I text her when it's there. Just a thought. Maybe it's not homemade chicken soup, but it gets the job done.

Hoping for the best.
