4. My mother grew up in Chicago in the 1920's and 30's

She said that there wasn’t a woman on their block that didn’t know where to go to get an abortion.

My father also grew up on Chicago, the only child of a second marriage. My grandfather’s first wife died of a botched illegal abortion in 1919 at the age of 25, leaving behind four children under the age of five. My grandfather had to temporarily put his children into an orphanage until he could scare up another wife.

That’s why I hate these so-called “pro-life” people. They either have no idea of the misery they leave in their wake, or don’t give a rat’s ass.
