Old Women [View all]

Lately I've been paying more attention to the sheer number of YEARS that many of us have been friends, associates, acquaintances.....etc and I'm starting to think about this group of ageing woman who post on DU as 'The Sisters'.

You all know who you are. And YOU, (Celerity and coupla others) despite being young-uns, you belong to the sisterhood.

In many other aspects of society, we ageing females are discarded as of no use; we cannot breed or entice men. IMO, that is our power. And what a true power it is.

Older women have ALWAYS held the most power in society; this is why their most vehement opponent is their diametric opposite; the young man. Not all young men, just some.

As many of us approach and pass twenty years of online friendship, I salute my sisters. I love you all, respect your opinions, and want you to know that you make me a better person.
