and a new Justice is confirmed.

All it would take is one of them defecting, and then Majority Leader Mitch would just refuse to confirm anyone ... he's already shown he's willing to be that kind of ratfucker ... so we'd have a 6-2 SCOTUS for the next 3 years.

I'm actually kinda nervous about the whole thing, frankly.

Is it possible to get a someone confirmed BEFORE Breyer actually steps down, such that he stays on if something ... untoward ... happens?
