15. Truck drivers used to be saviors.

In my thirties a friend and I drove to Florida quite often. We were young and fit
girl/women.

If we slept, we would find a truck stop and park between two semis. We always tried to talk to them if they were awake.

NOTHING bad ever happened.

They always were protective and nice to us.
Even the ones that didn’t speak English.

I doubt one could do that today.
