EWTN has a weekly "pro-life" show that features extremist "logic" like this. I'm pretty sure this line of "thought" started on fundamentalist Catholic rad-trad radio and TV. It spread into fundamentalist Protestant circles, and now religious-right politicians apparently think they can mainstream this garbage.
