are just over the top.

And, aside from temporally grabbing as much money and power as they can, the probable end result of the cumulative actions of the people on that side of the cultural/political schism is basically a handful of survivors grifting each other on a dead planet.

It all seems pretty pointless to me...but I'm just a cat.
