4. The next "Civil War" will be rural enclaves defying Federal and State authority

Red state counties will establish "local control" as the Bundy's did at Malheur, but on a county level. Oath Keeper Sheriffs will support them.

The difference is that the roadblocks they establish will isolate the populations from outside services, supplies, and medicines. The rebels will discover that the hegomony they assumed within these enclaves will not be as robust as they predicted. Their fantasies of self-reliance will melt under the pressures of economic reality.

People can't eat ammunition. They will tire of the freeze-dried cashe of food in that plastic bucket that they bought from Jim Bakker. There will not be enough to go around. The National Guard has the means to defeat these fools, and after losing patience, they will to do it. The Nazis, Redout nuts, Klansmen, survivalists, secessionists, and all the red hat nuts will wither and retreat. Guerilla warfare will continue for some time, but the reality of the movement's futility will set in, and the "real people" will move on.

They like the spoils of being part of a larger nation.
