I'm watching the Canadian truck blockade and the reactions to that on Linked In, and have noticed the ones that are the most vocal about it (and how it's not just about the Canadian trucking mandate) seem to be the same voices that have been involved in defending Trump's insurrection and farther back, and the same ones that inevitably seem to be spewing the QAnon nonsense. I don't think that they are trolls, rather I am going to be convinced that they are fervent, loud, stupid, and delusional, but who have been given a platform that feeds all of their insecurities. I know a number of very intelligent, very thoughtful religious leaders of all denominations. Most are appalled at what is happening, but will also acknowledge that the extremists, such as "Pastor" Locke, are also WELL-funded.

This is why it's worth understanding what's really happening here. The ones that are funding and supporting these people are manufacturing distractions and chaos. The likelihood that someone like Locke represents a threat is small, but that doesn't really matter - it's all chaff, intended to obscure what is actually going on in the background. As to who is involved, I don't doubt that much of it is being funded by segments of corporate America who are trying to push the US into a full-blown corporate oligarchy, one with neither democratic ideals nor due process.

In other words, yes, you can laugh at clowns like Locke, but understand he's there to distract everyone while the real acts are being set up in the background.
