In reply to the discussion: It's amazing how the media handles right-wing bullshit [View all]Chainfire
(17,757 posts)12. It is the difference in "news" and "propaganda."
News is what happened, propaganda is what they want you to believe happened. For a large part, news reporting died with the era of the Murrow Boys.
If you haven't figured it out yet, everything that happens in our world is bought and paid for. We are delusional to think that we have a choice of what happens. What little choice that we have had is being eroded with every passing day. If we are going to survive in the future we will have to learn to quit questioning what we are told and go with the flow as directed by those with the gold. The right wingers have figured that out already and they are angry that we are still holding out.
It is much like religion. You have to surrender you soul to find peace.

If you were watching Morning Joe, that's exactly what they revealed it to be. Bullshit.

If a Republican says something and no-one is around to hear it, is it still a lie?

Yep. When the right is outraged at what they claim is bullshit, it's the outrage that's bullshit.

Republicans don't have politics. They have scripts fixated on legitimizing bullshit.
