I'm will to bet that most of the respondents to that poll are urban/suburban dwellers and therefore most likely to be Democrats. Democrats from the Western states have any number of good ideas in regard to keeping their carbon foot prints down, but the worshipers of the mad king Trump stay up nights plotting how to prevent anything useful from happening. It's discouraging to say the least.
