"I" vs "We". Right vs Left. occurred to me this AM listening to interviews of Repub women [View all]

on NPR, esp about the recent rape comments and the economy (they had interviews with some women small business owners).

Democrats seem to the default of "we" - it is important for us all to move forward together. Republicans - default to "I" - if I am OK, then that's good enough. And extrapolating it to things like climate change - the "I" translates to here and now. Screw the future, our children, the earth.

How did there get to be so many selfish people in the country? And of course the great irony is in how many of them consider themselves super-religious.
