57. Melanoma is an unpredictable beast.

I lost my wife of 24 years to the beast in November of 2009. Her oncologist said that it takes different forms in every patient. I knew of a woman whose first indication of the disease was a lesion on her vulva. She did not survive. I knew another woman whose first indication was pain in her arm, the cancer was in her bones. She survived 28 years after that. The good news is that treatment is much advanced from when it took my wife. I wish you luck, health and long life.
