What's interesting is that he didn't have to do this. The price of oil is such that he could have made some serious money. He was set for a new agreement with Germany. He was really establishing strong ties with China. He could have pivoted away from Ukraine. But for some reason he was willing to risk it all for an unprovoked invasion. His judgment is really bad. And that is worrisome.

But because he went too far, Europe and the US will never forgive him. And I can't imagine China wants a friend like this.
