28. I'm so sorry you lost Chairman Meow. I'm sitting here with tears in my eyes,

knowing how much the loss has to hurt. I had to say good-bye to four senior cats, cats I'd had since they were tiny babies, between 2003 and last winter, and it felt each time as if they took part of my heart with them.

But I've heard that our loved ones also enlarge out hearts before they leave, so despite the pain, we're left with even more capacity to love, and even more understanding of it.

It sounds to me as if you and Chairman Meow rescued each other, as is so often the case. Those helpless furbabies we rescue turn out to be just what we needed, for years to come.

You gave him a great life here. And I believe there will be a reunion.
