3. I saw a replay of his statement. I don't think he said that to his daughters.

I think he was trying for sarcasm: that if he "lays down" and accepts the result of the 2020 election, it would be like telling his daughters to "lay down and enjoy" rape.

He is running for the state's house of representatives. It's sort of an "entry-level" political goal.

Given his district, I'd bet he wins the seat.
