Where sport attracted no salary, no prizes, no endorsements and so on, you comment could possibly be fair.

However the world we actually have is one where women historically and currently are systematically discriminated against in earnings and recognition.

Thomas' time in this event, I believe, was a new world record. Will it ever be broken or is that an impossible task for an XX person? Another earning opportunity lost to women who are just sick of putting up with it their whole lives.
