Like fireworks framed
and hung for a season,
or confetti in snapshots,
clinging to air,
like lights out of focus
spring trembles
and grows in circumference
and looms
in the silver screen sky.

Chinese and Italians
have taught us to celebrate
conjuring springs gone by.
