I'm one of the most vulnerable incumbent Senate Democrats up for reelection this year, and I need your help: while I've spent my time in office providing pandemic relief to struggling families, fighting for voting rights and delivering on our progressive priorities, extremist Republicans are doing everything they can to attack me and smear my record.

Here's why: experts at POLITICO say that Democrats' chances of defending our razor-thin majority hinge on keeping Georgia blue. This race will decide Senate control – but while GOP megadonors and dark money groups have millions to spend to try and buy this seat, we're running a people-powered campaign that relies on grassroots support. And unfortunately, with time running out before our crucial midnight fundraising deadline, we're falling incredibly short of our goal.

As a kid who grew up in public housing, I know what it's like to be counted out before you even get started. But through hard work and the support of my family and community, I was able to graduate from college and went on to become the senior pastor at Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s church. Now, I'm proudly serving as the first Black senator in Georgia's history.

But here's the deal: with the Senate split 50-50, Republicans need to flip only one seat to retake control – and they're coming after me as a top target for defeat.

That's why we have to fight back now – and it's why falling short of important goals like this isn't an option. Because if we fail to keep Georgia blue, Mitch McConnell will be back calling the shots and obstructing our Democratic agenda at every turn.
