47. Well, as I said that I am not refighting WW2,

But WWII was a dirty, nasty, genocidal, ugly conflict with no safe zones.

Was the rape of German women justified, I can’t answer that. I was not part of an army whose country had been invaded, million (with a “M”) of their people killed.

But what I will say - is that the German people were supporters of that war, that included the women. Sometimes, there are unintended consequences as a result of decisions made. I tend to think that getting killed was a much uglier outcome than rape, but I’m a man. I can’t speak as a woman.

Whereas, I am also sure that when the German army was not killing, I am sure that they also got their pound of flesh (to put ugly terms on it).

That WWII was a war of annihilation - on both sides.

And before we get all holy, American soldiers raped too, as did the Allies. For that matter, I am not sure what army didn’t.
