If you had, like I have, spoken with him over dinner, you would be absolutely certain he's no democrat!
He's still a true believer in supply-side, he's a hawk, he supports work requirements for SNAP & HUD assistance, and trusts all that Cato free markets are always best stuff.
He's not a frother on immigration, or abortion, or 2A.
But, if he pulls the R off his name, it will end up an I. Or maybe an L. But, running as a libertarian in Illinois is likely a non-starter.
