(63,622 posts)6. I've been coping with the bad news by taking breaks to listen to music instead. It helps me
more than watching dramas or comedies, or reading fiction or jokes, or even looking at cute animal videos.
Music reaches past the surface, for me. It reminds me of humanity's shared emotions and aspirations and creativity. And I find enough strength in that to be able to face the terrible news again.
I thought it was very important and moving for the Grammys to let Zelensky make the statement he did, starting with these words:
The war. What is more opposite to music?

Good post. Feel the same. DU kept me sane during the W years. Which, I might add, was a precursor.
