The man does not respond well to anything other than praise and flattery. The kind of constructive criticism that most of us would be grateful for because it gives us the chance to correct a problem or error is anathema to him. I've known a few people like that, who would not EVER accept being told they were wrong about anything, and one quickly learns to avoid trying.
