Jan. 6 revelations will 'blow the roof off the House,' Rep. Jamie Raskin says

19. Two words: Jamie Raskin.

"The hearings will tell a story that will really blow the roof off the House," Raskin said Thursday at an event hosted by Georgetown University's Center on Faith and Justice in Washington.

If Jamie Raskin thinks the committee has material that will "blow the roof off the House," I believe him. He knows exactly what they've got, and he's not a drama llama. I have a lot of faith in that man. I think he is stating what he believes to be the facts of the matter, and that's good enough for me.

What happens after that is anyone's guess. I know a lot of people here have less than zero confidence in the DOJ at this point, but if the evidence is as powerful and compelling as Raskin seems to think it will be, surely the DOJ will be under significant pressure to act decisively, once it's all been laid out in public hearings for the country--and the entire world--to see. That's one thing that will be different about this.

I'm not going to be betting any large sums of money on what the DOJ might do, and I'm not suggesting anyone else do so. But I believe these hearings WILL be explosive. Jamie Raskin says so, and he should know.
