1. No, I think someone made a mistake. The strongest winds are on the northeast

part of the eye wall, the forward acceleration of the storm added to the wind speed around the eye wall. Central NJ will feel the brunt of this one and the highest tide surge but points north will also feel very strong winds. That includes NYC, which will also have a surge of water propelled up through the harbor and will likely experience flooded streets on lower Manhattan.

Md. and Delaware will experience strong winds, but not as strong as those coming onshore in central NJ.
