(39,224 posts)here in NJ had one of our successful graduates come back to talk to current students in our communications program. This person had attained the position of division head of CNBC. When he was in our program (long before my time), he was one of the students who actually built the radio studio.
During Q & A time, a student asked him what his biggest workplace need was and the response was "good writers." He went on to say they are actually desperate for people who can write. He said his colleagues at other news companies said the same.
I remember practically rewriting entire term papers. Then I would make them come in and sit down and I would go through it with them point by point. However, the university took away our extra credit hour for doing such work so I quit doing it.
