1. There was a teacher that brought a cotton plant to school that was suspended

I defended the teacher and got push back on this board.

This is way beyond being acceptable to actually force students to participate in this. Touching a cotton plant should be optional. I still think showing a cotton plant is a valid approach and any child who wants to touch it should be allowed to do so. For the shackles I would make it optional for students to even see them, but I would be a bit more uneasy about it.
