13. I'm a man and I once voted in a Republican primary on this issue alone

I'm from Massachusetts and in 1990, during the Republican primaries to replace Michael Dukakis, the candidates were William Weld, who was progressive on social issues (Rockefeller Republican) and some other guy who was anti-abortion.

It was obvious that year that the Democrats were likely to lose the governorship and since it's an open primary state, I voted for Weld in the Republican primary. That was the one time in my life that an exit polling person approached me after voting and I told them that the one issue I had turned out to vote on was abortion.
