Carlin had some deep insights on what was going on in the sociopolitical realm but he was SOOOOO out to lunch with the whole "don't vote, it only encourages them" mentality. (Not sure if he coined that saying but he certainly promoted it).

I searched this thread out having just seen that he's trading on Twitter for his standup rants against the pro-life fanatics. But what he failed to see was what gives these and other right-wing wackos their power is low turnout (no coincidence that they do all they can to suppress voting whenever possible).

CLEARLY voting matters to SOMEONE.
