Sheriff Dave Wedding of Vanderburgh County Indiana confirmed Vicky White’s injuries were self-inflicted when she shot herself at some point during or at the end of the pursuit. Police said Vicky White was seriously injured.

Later, when speaking to NewsNation, Wedding said Vicky White was in “grave condition” and that he could not comment on if she would survive her injury. Not long after, shortly after 7 p.m., Vicky White died at Deaconess Hospital, according to the Vanderburgh County coroner.
