As to the jobs, do you not think that if the federal government is going to take over the health care system that there aren't going to be jobs in the new system for people that already have the skill set to do that job? We aren't getting rid of health care. We are getting rid of fucking private insurance. We will still need people to take care of the day-to-day with health care. There will be jobs.
Plus there is the added benefit of saving people that currently pay for private insurance money. Which, apparently, will lose us votes in bizarro world.
