(71,464 posts)14. I would primary a Democrat in this circumstance, but I would never vote Republican or for
a third party in a General. I just couldn't do it. I know you wouldn't do that either. I simply can't fathom anyone doing this. I hear the word 'message' voting and it makes me sick. Roosevelt was successful because he had almost everyone's support. Like someone once said, you want a liberal Congress than elect more Democrats.
