As I’ve said from the outset, that the answer is not to defund the police,” Biden said.

“The answer is to fund the police with the resources and training they need.”Fear about crime in the U.S. touched its highest level since 2016 in April, while a government report published Tuesday found that the firearm homicide rate in 2020 rose to its highest level in a quarter-century.
