2. It took women decades to achieve what we did.

May 2022

To see it be handed away so carelessly & so swiftly by the unthinking & selfish minded is devastating, for those lives committed to bringing it about, & to those who will never know of such rights but in the stories passed down over time.
What it was like pre 2022, when women could decide in private, which health & reproductive choices would be best for their lifstyle
And that women of pre2022, actually had such a choice.

Imagine a grama or mom today telling their grown daughter what women's healthcare was like when they were her age.
Or simply pre 2022.

How did this not become as big a rally cry in 2016 as we see it is today.
Where were all these women when their power & voices were needed.
I'm stunned by that fact alone.

Did they take that torch so carelessly for granted? All these voices today? Where were they when we needed them.
I want to look at them all & ask, How could you do this?

The story of women’s struggle for equality belongs to no single feminist nor to any one organization but to the collective efforts of all who care about human rights.” – Gloria Steinem

I have this Feminism at Work print. I bought early in the 2016 campaign.
On behalf of our hope for final equality under law, by our 1st woman President Hillary Clinton.
Her life legacy was literally women & human rights above all else.
We were within a few steps of proudly carrying that torch of all women before us, on to it's final home & set as the law of the land.

They spit at her face. They threw dollar bills as her car passed by their hate protests.
The cheered the politician who called Planned Parenthood 'Establishment'.
They degraded the very woman who carried that long lifted torch into the future for all girls forevermore.

How could these women we hear today, calling loudly as they now demand the very same sacred Rights they so casually handed away, as they stood so loudly against us in 2016.
How could they do this?
