I also have no doubt that Obama has impressed him with his preparedness and commitment.

Indeed, Christie would have to go out on a limb to deny all that. He's not going to stick his neck out for a loser like Romney, especially not when staying close to Obama gains him some ancillary political benefit in both 2013 and 2016.
