In reply to the discussion: Do you ever get the evil, unworthy, fleeting thought that you'd almost like Willard to win just so [View all]Locut0s
(6,154 posts)70. I often feel this way but there's a big problem with it...
I should note I'm a Canadian here so I'm not directly involved in US politics.
It's a feeling akin to wishing for vengeance on someone, as well as being able to tell them "I told you so you fucker!". But there's a big problem with this. Those on the right really actually don't give a shit about other people. So long as them and their own loved ones are taken care of they could give two fucks about other people. So if other people suffer as a consequence of voting in Romney they really aren't going to give a shit at all. Telling them "see what you've done", "see how much FURTHER america has fallen!", "see what you have wrought!", well they aren't going to give a fuck about that so long as their own skins are protected.

OP
Nope. Buyers' remorse didn't hit most of the Bush-voting idiots until well into his second term.

Even now, I don't think the Bush voters accept the blame for the Bush fiasco

It would be far too hard a lesson upon us all to even begin to be worth it.

Like all the "liberals" and "progressives" that stayed home in 2010 to teach Obama a lesson?

No. If rMoney did get elected, you won't see the Kool-Aid drinkers repent.

Well, to be technical, so did I...for 8 or 10 seconds. But none of us are perfect :)
