These Republicans felt the sting of O'Rourke's comments bc they're too accustomed to having their ridiculous ideas, policies and lack of compassion go uncriticized and not called out for what they are: a contemptible indifference to the suffering of others. Judge them by their lack of action. Spit on their empty words or infuriating whataboutism to deflect from their own hollowed out souls.
We need to showcase this hollowness, this craven abdication of everything decent to incite a revolution of sensibilities in the American psyche, to break the gun fetish that has grown through greed and hate, and then make all citizens think of gun victims as their children, their sons and daughters, mothers and fathers, brothers and sisters.
I don't know whether showing dead bodies, human flesh blown into pieces, would make a difference. But if it would, I say bring it on. Make us all look at the carnage this stupid, evil obsession with guns has wrought, how lies and deceit have torn families to smithereens. Some of these parents will be required to use DNA to identify their babies because the disfigurement from a battlefield weapon is so profound.
Imagine the horror of that. Then imagine the smug faces of men or women who repeatedly say: the solution to a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun. Or the emptiness of sending the standard Thoughts and Prayers.
Show America what Governor Abbott and his crew and all those like them have delivered to this country. In this case, the torn and bloodied bodies of little children.
This is not PRO-LIFE. This is PRO-DEATH.
