In reply to the discussion: AP photo of POTUS yesterday- it tugs at my heart strings. [View all]BelgianMadCow
(5,379 posts)81. Compare to Bush* NOLA flyover photo
,a staged photo whose insincerity was blatant. The picture of the President seems pretty candid and indeed shows a man with a mission. You know, not the kind that forgets what briefing he got on the 18th of August.
Campaign gold, too. Your reactions in this thread prove it.
I'll be a bit blunt and say that ever since the evildoers got reappointed in the treasury dept, I find all the president's achievements to be of second order to that. But that doesn't mean they are minor. He'd have my vote in a heartbeat, and I can only hope Sandy doesn't bring down the vote. If a majority of Americans elects Romney, I would really despair.
Good vibes to all affected by the storm,
take care

Unlike Bush, or Romney, Obama is truly concerned about the safety of the people.

And to think, I spent yesterday warm and dry and lazy, and got 8 hours of pure sleep

I'd say so. He's been worked to the bone. That takes an iron will to carry on. Thanks, Obama.

Romney would have someone carrying an umbrella for him as would other republicans.

Yes, and the fact that he does occasionally piss some of us off or disappoint us is a sign

I don't think I've ever respected a President more than I respect President Obama.
