He means nothing to them. They do not care about him as a human being. They even make racist jokes about him behing his back.

What I think is truly sad is that he probably has CPE (or some other congitive deficit) and is yet undiagnosed, not that they care about that either. All he is to them is another Black sports hero to exploit for their own power grab.
