59. Subject tangent

Wearing a mask throughout 12 hour shifts, damn does that get tiresome: Now although I'll keep a cloth earloop mask handy for the grocery store, even have caught myself shirking the habit lately in the crowd of maskless faces. I've long thought such a practice as simply more sanitary in the food market. Glad to see most food prep staff masked up.
Then the other laughable extreme: some wearing the thing strapped on walking or driving all alone, without another soul in sight. That's precaution turned to paranoia.
Here's my gripe:
I seriously dislike the earloop masks. Good for short term wear,, such as the grocery market. Many still wear them at the hospital, one other in my department also develops ear irritation from extensive wear.
But finding the tie-on's requires perseverance.
Get a load of how whiny the anti-maskers sound to essential personnel required to keep the damn things on.
