185. Do what you can to protect yourself

My daughter and husband both got covid, and I managed to escape. (I had my second booster about a month before they got it.) I did not isolate or mask around my young daughter; I assumed I would get covid and it would be on the mild side bc of recent booster. But I never got it. (Tested with 2 PCRs and daily rapid antigen tests for duration of their infections.)

We have access to therapeutics now. Getting a case of covid isn't ideal. You should do what you can to protect yourself. But also, if you're vaccinated and boosted, you wear a mask in crowded places, you are mitigating the damages and protecting yourself the best you can. Make a plan if you get it. (Where will you get a PCR test quickly and how will you get prescription for Paxlovid?)
